Happy Friday everyone. This is going to be a short update. I haven’t been getting much sleep lately so while bed is beckoning, I had to share how my week went. While I’m happy to say I’m back on track, I’m going to continue to set small goals for myself.
First, true confession time. I almost didn’t go to my weight watchers meeting this morning. Last week’s gain was scary. I was almost afraid to weigh in this week. Luckily, my wise husband Adam reminded me that I always feel better when I go and of course, he was right.

Down 1.6lbs!
In terms of my activity, I’ve been using my Fitbit again to track my progress. Between the random weather we’ve been having and my “lady issues” (TMI), my bed was calling more than the treadmill. Nevertheless, I had a great week in terms of my activity. With the exception of yesterday, I made my walking goals for most of the week.
As for next week, I’m setting some more smaller goals:
- Walk over 10k, every day – I’m not going to lie, it’s been nice to see my name go further up the list. I want to see if I can get to the #1 spot. If you’re on my Fitbit friends list, look out. I’m coming for you. Mwahaha.
- Drink 3L of water every day. I’m still not getting enough. And ideas on how to get hydrated? I downloaded the app and I’m going to start taking my water bottle with me everywhere. But if you have any more suggestions, send them my way please.
- Get 8 hours of sleep. I’ve literally felt like a Zombie but I know what I need to do. Two words: digital detox. When I get ready for bed, I’m going to turn my phone OFF. Shocking. I know, right? But here’s the thing. While I love being connected and working on my social media and blog, I need to be more balanced.
So those are my three short term goals for next week. As always, I’ll check in throughout the week to let you know how I’m doing. Please feel free to follow me on social media and jump into the conversations.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Great job sweetie – and thanks Adam for being there to remind her.
And small goals are the perfect way to travel this journey.
