Friday Favourites

July 3, 2020

Happy Friday everyone!

I am very happy to be back and sharing some of the things I’m loving right now. This week, I am all about my new Unicorn-inspired Tye-Dye Hoodie from “Colours For Covid”.

Colours for Covid is a local charitable project that was started by my friend, Logan Lass! I got to speak with Logan about this amazing initiative and I hope you enjoy learning about how she is giving back to her community during the Covid-19 crisis.

Meet Logan Lass, Founder of Colours for Covid

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

My name is Logan Lass and I’m the founder of Colours for Covid. I started creating and selling tie-dye sweaters to keep myself busy during quarantine. The charitable project has really taken off as I’ve raised over $4K in donations. What’s so great is that my employer, McDonald’s Canada, will be matching my donation up to $3K.

What made you decide to start Colours for Covid?

My husband, Dr. Elliot Lass, is a family medicine resident physician who has been caring for COVID-19 patients, working in Mount Sinai’s COVID-19 Assessment Centre. I started this initiative as a way to give back to the hospital and support the frontline workers.

Where can people order a hoodie?

Right from my Instagram page! You can direct message me what colours and size you want!

How will the proceeds from Colours for Covid help support Sinai Health Foundation?

The proceeds I am donating will be going directly to support the Sinai Health System.

What has been keeping you motivated during quarantine?

Aside from tie-dye, Elliot and I have been going on some awesome bike rides. We completed a 40K bike ride this past weekend.

If you didn’t already know about Sinai Health, click here to for more information. To order your very own tie-dye hoodie, you order through Instagram @coloursforcovid.

Hang in there everyone!

Jen
